At ModTech Designs we follow a proven design process. Our methods are simple and effective and we make sure that our customer receives the service they deserve. Below is a review of our design process
Evaluate the Problem The first step to product development is to evaluate the problem. ModTech staff evaluates the problem and the desired solution with your business team as the first step to creating the product. Once the problem is clearly defined and a distinct goal is in sight we move on to the development of the product.
Brainstorming After the problem is clearly determined our design team will begin to brainstorm possibilities for the project. The team will come up with numerous sketches for the form of the product as well as the materials and processes needed to design it. In collaboration with your business team we will decide on a direction for the product and begin prototyping.
Prototyping
After the brainstorming process a particular design is choosen. Computer Aided Design (CAD) prototypes are developed immediately and brought to your business team for approval. The look, design, and materials are discussed and evaluated. After all prototypes are approved the ModTech team creates physical models of each part and assembles them to create a prototype of the final product.
Production
After the prototype is complete the product enters production. ModTech chooses the most efficient processing techniques and materials. Our team develops the products with low cost and high efficiency, crucial for staying within our budget boundary.
Testing / Re-evaluation
Once the first few versions of the product have been produced ModTech performs user testing on the product. Product safety, strength, usability and look are scrutinized and re-evaluated. If the product performs at a high level than it is ready for commercial production. If there are any flaws with the process starts again until the product is successful.
